What People Expect

There is one national process for every financial remedy case.

Court Reality

The Express Financial Remedy pilot (PD36ZH) is a faster court process for divorce and civil partnership finances cases. It runs in 34 court locations and only where combined net assets are under £250,000. The first hearing is a financial dispute resolution appointment, listed 16 to 20 weeks after the application is accepted. If the case does not settle, a one-day final hearing is listed 26 to 30 weeks after. Applications must be filed by the end of 2 April 2027.
