What People Expect

People expect their own account of what was agreed or intended years ago to carry the most weight.

Court Reality

Emails, accountant's letters and tax advice written at the time often carry more weight than either person's memory years later. In RRE v JPR [2026] EWFC 7, documents from when assets were moved were central to deciding why they were moved. Keep and gather paperwork from the time.
