What People Expect

People look for a single rule.

Court Reality

The Financial Remedies Guide (para 81) says not less than five working days before the hearing, unless the court directs otherwise. The Bundles Guide for Litigants in Person (paras 2.4 and 9.5) also says 5 working days, or as specified in a court order, and adds that the parties should agree what goes in the bundle 7 working days before. Real orders have said 2 working days, 3 days, 8 days, and 7 days where neither party has a lawyer. Your order sets the date for your case. Rules and orders differ here: check your own order.
