If you meet the deadline, the other party is bound to do the same.

Court Reality

Court deadlines apply equally, but compliance depends on each party. The other side may miss, or ignore, a deadline — and there are procedural consequences for that, though they are not always automatic. Keeping a record and, where appropriate, raising non-compliance with the court is usually more effective than assuming the timetable will be followed.
