What People Expect

The court will excuse you from participating because of the trauma you've experienced.

Court Reality

The court expects you to participate regardless. Special measures exist (FPR Part 3A) — separate waiting rooms, screens, remote attendance. But the negotiation still has to happen. The trauma is acknowledged; the process isn't waived.
