What People Expect

The ES1 asks whether you are asserting non-disclosure of income resources. A payslip shows one income stream. Dividends, rental income, business drawings, bonuses, and cash payments don't appear on payslips.

Court Reality

Income and capital are separate questions on the ES1. Someone can be fully open about their salary and completely silent about everything else they receive. If you suspect there's more, you need to flag it — don't assume a payslip tells the whole story.
